Making their feelings known to newsmen in Aba on Thursday through their President, Austin Chilaka, the group alleged that Abaribe’s influence and his 15 years in the senate will never slim the PDP chances of victory in the Abia South Senatorial election.

According to Chilaka, ”Abaribe is just like any other politician in Abia. Evidence and the footprint he left for the past 15 years he spent in the senate with nothing to offer the people has shown that he is defeatable.

“He has nothing to show for the period he has been in the senate. And you need to go to his Senatorial District with your ears to the ground and shine your eyes. You will get to know what people are saying about him, many of his associates with good personal reasons are working against him, because he failed to use his good office and improve the lives of the people that have been electing him.

“For us in Abia South senatorial district, We don’t have any doubt about it. We don’t want to be complacent, though, We’re working hard to displace him, working hard to ensure that the PDP will win the next election,” he said.

They also described the senator as just another politician who is defeatable in the 2023 February elections.

He said the People’s Democratic Party senatorial candidate, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s leadership philosophy identifies with Abia south at the grassroots.

According to him, Ikpeazu’s performance as a Governor in the state implies what senatorial district should expect from him as a senator at the red chambers.
