Crisis Hits Abia YPP As Party Chieftain Accuses Chima Anyaso of being a mole [ *VIDEO* ]

Before now, many Abia political watchers are aware that the Young Progressives Party Governorship Candidate, Engr. Enyinnaya Nwafor was not prepared for any elective position in 2023.

Engr. Nwafor had in January, 2022 during his visit to the Apugo family, Ibeku Umuahia, told journalists that he was not psycologically ready to run election in 2023 and this was reported in the media including the Vanguard Newspapers.

Suddenly, it was a shock to Abians and a surprise to the likes of Steve Okoh, the Vanguard correspondent in Umuahia, Dr. Ikechukwu Nwabeke, former Transition Committee Chairman of Osisioma Ngwa, Hon Victor Nwaogu; Hon Emma Kanu, Hon Felix Nkoro. among others and the Apugo family that, the man who said openly he would not run election in 2023, turned around to participate in the 2023 election process.

*What changed?*

Those that brought Engr. Enyinnaya Nwafor had a set agenda for their selfish reasons to remain in power. Their initial target was Ncheta Omerekpe but he turned down the overtures, insisting he would stay back in PDP because of Atiku Abubakar.

When Chima Anyaso started holding secret meetings with the National Chairman of YPP, Bishop Amakiri in 2021 while still in PDP, he was not running for Governorship but has kept the deputy position to himself.

Unknown to Chief Omerekpe, Anyaso masterminded YPP letters to Ncheta Omerekpe inviting him to join the party and get the Governorship ticket.

What was their aim, you would ask? To bring up a strong candidate from Umunneato Ngwa so that the likes of Dr. Alex Otti, who claims to be from Isiala Ngwa North, Engr. Enyinnaya Nwafor from Osisioma from and Prof. Uche Ikonne from Isiala Ngwa North as it became obvious he was favoured to emerge under PDP will fight to finish and divide their votes from Ukwa la Ngwa zone to pave way for the emergence of Prof. Greg Ibe of APGA to win.

However, as the saying goes, ” Man proposes, but God disposes”. The Abia North Consensus Committee led by Dr. Nnate Uduma put a nail to the political coffin of Prof. Greg Ibe as the committee dumped him on health grounds to pick Bishop Sunday Onuoha. But, this is not the real story now.

The real story is that a YPP Chieftain from Isiala Ngwa North, Pastor Destiny Achilihu has raised a dust in a letter he wrote to Abia YPP Leaders. The letter titled;

*A wake up call by Hon Achilihu Destiny* read in part:-

“Prior to this moment, Dr Desmond Chima Anyaso (Ofuji Igbere) the Deputy Governorship Candidate of YPP Abia State, showed enthusiasm, strength and commitment en route to his 2023 political ambition.

One had expected that by now, Chima Anyaso would have mobilized, Bende LGA and by extension Abia North for the YPP.

Suffice it to say that Since October 10, 2022, INEC lifted embargo campaigns, while other Deputy Governorship Candidates like that of the PDP, APGA Etc have been very visible with their principals either campaigning or working under cover putting together their team to work with.

It was expected of Dr Anyaso to bring in his contacts with the entertainment industry to bear in the campaign of YPP in Abia. It is as well expected of Dr Anyaso to use his wealth of experience as a private sector guru to assemble the best Economic team that will work with Engr Enyinnaya Chima Nwafor to transform Abia State

The position of a Deputy Governorship Candidates is not for fun fair or showmanship but very crucial to winning election.

Much as Engr Enyinnaya Chima Nwafor enjoys the overwhelming supports and goodwill of Abians across board, he still needs the mobilization support of his deputy Governorship Candidate to compliment his efforts.

This should be seen as a wake up call and very constructive criticism geared towards a better YPP and victory for all of us.

One would be tempted to ask, what happened to the Ofuji wave? The wave that was felt across Abia, anchored on a social contract with Abia youths,

I want to ask, Has the Ofuji been offloaded”? he queried.

Short of calling him a mole, what Pastor Destiny Achilihu did not know before he blindly joined YPP is that, Chima Anyaso was planted by those that poured libation for a purpose. So how can he campaign in Bende when even one of his House of Assembly Candidates from Bende LGA had confessed to a PDP Chieftain also from Bende LGA that his kinsmen have warned him not to paste Engr. Chima Nwafor’s posters in their area.

However, with the health challenges of Prof. Greg Ibe and the selection of Bishop Sunday Onuoha of ADC, the confusion of the hatchet men in Abia has gotten to it’s coaxing diminuendo.

Let YPP and Eks steve leave Dr. Alex Otti alone and concentrate on how to solve their internal crisis of their ” Enemies Within”
